Trekking to "Bicos Altos"		Starting in Fafião, a small village where one of the best preserved fojos of the Peneda-Gerês National Park is located, this route takes place in a less visited area of the Serra do Gerês, the Prado dos Bicos Altos which is situated at an altitude of 930 metres. Passages by Chã da Matança and its bridge over the River Fafião, the Cabana de Pinhô and its meadow. In this route you will have the opportunity to observe magnificent landscapes that the Peneda-Gerês National Park provides in this area belonging to the municipality of Montalegre. Trekking to Teixeira Valley		With a distance of about 12km and 550 metres of positive gradient (accumulated of climbs), this route starts at the Miradouro da Pedra Bela, one of the most emblematic places in Gerês, with a simply stunning view! The mountains, the blue mirror of the Caniçada reservoir, the vegetation proper of this mountain, seem to fill the canvas of a picture that, say the ancients, was the divine hand that placed there that place, as if of a piece in a nativity scene, perfect and imposing. We will walk the trails that are used by the local shepherds in the famous vezeiras, we will pass through some of the most panoramic meadows of the Serra do Gerês, such as the Lomba do Vidoeiro or the Teixeira and we will walk along the banks of the Arado river, being able to appreciate its lagoons and cascades. Trekking to Rocalva		This long distance mountain walk, about 22km long on a circular route, begins in the vicinity of the village of Fafião, in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Serra do Gerês, the valley of the river Fafião. In this visit to the serrania geresiana, the passage in the silent amphitheatre that is the meadow of Bicos Altos, had to happen. After getting supplies from the spring that sprouts there, we headed to new altitudes, following the trails that lead us to Iteiro de Ovos hut. In this mountain retreat, we sometimes managed to see the pyrinaica goat, reimplanted in the PNPG a few years ago, and also to observe one or another bird that dares to fly over these mysterious mountains. Already at 1300 meters of altitude we contemplate the Mêda da Rocalva, its enormous meadow and the Roca Negra right in front. Passing by the Prado da Carvalhosa and quickly descending its slopes, we begin again to contemplate the deep valley of the Fafião River and after crossing it, we reach Fafião, also known as the land of the Wolf. Trekking/Caminhada de Pincães		This route, designed for outdoor enthusiasts, is intended to be a relaxed 9km walk. Pincães is worthy to be contemplated, standing out for the beauty of its diverse landscapes, with its green meadows, and, of course, for the quietness of this area - the richest in the municipality in terms of tree and poultry species. Taking advantage of the unforgettable landscapes, no doubt due to the orographic and climatic conditions that the Gerês mountain range presents, this route will allow its participants to get to know the experiences and customs of the inhabitants of the mountain villages. The highlight of this route is undoubtedly the arrival at the imposing Pincães Waterfall, a moment full of emotions, sounds, aromas, sensations, magic and even a certain mystery. And with its incredible natural pool, diving is a must.
